The illuminarium features a host of state-of-the-art technologies that make the visitor experience as immersive as possible. During the exhibitions, 4K lasers project moving images onto the walls and ceilings around you, 3D audio creates the illusion of sounds coming closer to you, and scent diffusers are activated. Most of your senses will therefore be engaged: sight, hearing, and smell.
Throughout the year, ever-changing temporary exhibitions offer you a unique cultural experience. Young and old alike will love learning in a fun and immersive way.
'WILD: a safari experience'. This exhibition makes you feel as though you're in the heart of the African savannah thanks to the various special effects in place. You'll feel vibrations on the floor as the 4K laser projections show herds of animals running or hunting on the walls of the Illuminarium. At the same time, you'll hear the animals moving towards or away from you thanks to the 3D audio. The technology also allows you to hear the roar of lions and the trumpeting of the elephants. Your sense of smell will be stimulated by scent diffusers imitating the odours of the savannah.
'AFTER DARK: Nightlife Re-Imagined' (minimum age 21) you'll be whisked into a theatre of magical, ever-changing immersive backdrops, from the night markets of Tokyo to a glowing under-the-sea reef. Sip a drink at the bar with friends as you take in your unique surroundings.
'SPACE': Explore the wonders and mysteries of our galaxy; walk on the moon, fly through a nebula, and get a close-up look at Saturn's rings in this unique immersive experience.
