Dive with turtles and tropical fish in Akumal Bay and swim in the fresh waters of a Cenote!
Your day exploring the natural wonders of the Riviera Maya starts early in the morning with a transfer from your hotel.
You'll arrive at around 9am on a beach in Akumal Bay, which means ‘place of turtles’ in Mayan. This bay is famous for being home to three species of sea turtle, which come here each year to lay their eggs in the sand.
Meet your guide and take a small boat out to sea to the turtle area. You'll then begin your dive among colourful fish, coral, rays and, of course, turtles.
After an hour's snorkelling, you'll return to land, where you'll be offered a snack (sandwich and bottle of water). You will then take your minibus back to the Yucatán rainforest. You will arrive at the Cenote at around 11am. Here you can swim, jump and cool off in the clear waters. You can also try your hand at snorkelling. Look around and you'll see stalagmites and stalactites in a beautiful natural setting.
Your guide will be there to accompany you throughout the day and answer any questions you may have.
Return to the hotel at around 1 p.m.
