Description

Enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of Copenhagen at Christmas time on a private walking tour!

You'll meet your guide in front of Copenhagen's iconic City Hall, the starting point of your enchanting walk through the illuminated streets of the Danish capital. You'll explore historic landmarks and discover hidden treasures nestled behind picturesque alleyways and centuries-old buildings.

Your itinerary will take you to Copenhagen's majestic Cathedral, the Church of Our Lady, where Danish royal weddings are celebrated. You'll continue your discovery past the University of Copenhagen, before admiring the Round Tower, one of Europe's oldest observatories. You'll then cross the charming Gråbrødretorv square and its colorful houses, before reaching the famous Strøget street, the vibrant heart of Christmas shopping.

At this time of year, Copenhagen is adorned with a thousand lights and a warm atmosphere that will make you forget the winter cold. You'll marvel at the glittering decorations of Tivoli Gardens and Hotel D'Angleterre, while the Christmas markets invite you to stroll between craft stalls and gourmet stalls.

As the tour progresses, your guide will immerse you in Danish Christmas traditions. You'll learn about the "nisse", the mischievous elves of Scandinavian folklore, and discover why risengrød, a rice porridge, is an essential holiday tradition. You'll also understand the importance of "lille juleaften" (the little Christmas Eve) and the famous "julefrokost" (Christmas lunch).

Finally, no Christmas visit would be complete without a gourmet break! You'll sample a typical Danish holiday specialty: Æbleskiver, delicious round doughnuts served with strawberry jam and powdered sugar.

This tour will take you on a real journey back in time, between history and tradition, for a unique immersion in Danish Christmas magic!
