Description

Spend an exceptional day visiting the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam: a spectacluar wonder of nature and a feat of modern engineering!

This excursion will allow you to discover both the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam in 1 day. With a small group of 10 people, you will leave your hotel to join the Grand Canyon's West Rim aboard a comfortable vehicle with excellent visibility of the surrounding scenery.

The journey takes you through a yucca forest (Joshua Tree Forest) before passing the huge cliffs that annonce the entrance to the Grand Canyon.

Spend around 3 hours at the Grand Canyon's West Rim, including a brief walk to reach Guano point where you can benefit from a magnificent view. Your guide will take you to the most beautiful places in the area. During the tour, you'll learn about the local fauna and flora as well as the history and culture of the Hualpais Indians who inhabit the canyon. If you wish you can access the Skywalk footbridge (supplement payable on the day)

The rest of the day will be spent at Hoover Dam. Once at the site, you will be taken on a guided tour of the Dam and its facilities. You can even visit certain parts of the interior and the immense generators, which produce electricity for the whole region.

At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to your hotel.

  • Availability: every day (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Duration: 10 hrs. 30 mins approx.
  • Departure time : approximately 7.30am. A shuttle will come and collect you from your hotel (service for hotels in Las Vegas only)
  • It is imperative to call the tour operator to confirm the exact time and place of your hotel pick-up. Your hotel reception can make this call for you (telephone number indicated on your voucher)
  • To participate in this activity you will need to present your voucher to the tour operator on the day
  • The vehicles are fitted with air conditioning and are specially adapted to transport 10 passengers
  • Each tour takes place with a maximum of 10 people to ensure a proximity between the guide and the participants
  • Your guide has an in-depth knowledge of geology, history, natural sciences – don't hesitate to ask any questions
  • Comfortable clothing and footwear recommended
  • The tour may be cancelled if there is only 1 participant or in severe weather conditions. In this case a refund will be aranged
  • Children under 3 are not allowed on this tour
  • Wheelchair users can participate in this activity on the condition a folding wheelchair is used and they are accompanied by another adult
