Visit Honolulu's iconic sites and learn more about the attack on Pearl Harbor by visiting the USS Arizona Memorial!
You'll be picked up from your accommodation and driven to Pearl Harbor Bay, the site of the former military port that was bombarded by Japanese aircraft in 1941.
You'll board a US Navy ship and proceed to the USS Arizona Memorial site. The memorial was created over the wreckage of this battleship, which has remained in the waters off Pearl Harbor since it sank in 1941. The memorial was inaugurated in 1962 and is dedicated to the memory of the 1,177 officers and crew who perished during the attack.
You'll continue your tour at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center where you'll be taken back in time with film footage of the attack.
You'll also have the opportunity to visit the Punchbowl National Cemetery of the Pacific located in the crater of the Punchbowl volcano. It houses a memorial to the men and women who served in the US armed forces.
You'll continue your tour of Honolulu and see the city's must-see sights and landmarks:
- Iolani Palace: the residence of the last Hawaiian rulers between 1845 and 1893 and the only royal palace in the U.S.
- King Kamehameha Statue: honours the 1st king of the Hawaiian Kingdom who successfully unified all the 122 islands in the archipelago.
- Kawaiahao Church: former chapel of the English royal family, also known as "Hawaii's Westminster Abbey", where services are still held in the Hawaiian language.
- Hawaii State Capitol: an American public monument with a Hawaiian architectural style and currently home to the State of Hawaii's administration.
- Honolulu Hale: Honolulu's municipal building, "Hale" meaning "house" in Hawaiian.
After enjoying the best of Honolulo for a day, you'll be taken back to your accommodation in Waikiki.
