Explore Canada's Laurentian region on a day combining dog sledding and a meeting with a trapper!
You'll be picked up from your hotel in Montréal, and driven about 80km north, close to the town of Saint-Hippolyte in the Laurentian region. We'll be waiting for you on the shores of Lac Morency for a day full of adventure, including an introduction to tractor driving and a meeting with a trapper.
On arrival, you'll meet your guide, who will give you all the information you need to drive a dog tractor. You will have the opportunity to take the controls of the tractor and experience all the sensations of being a real musher. At the end of your ride, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a special moment with the huskies who have accompanied you, before enjoying a meal. Lunch will be served in the musher's wooden cabin, where you will savor traditional Québécois cuisine.
The day continues with an encounter with a trapper, a professional hunter from North America. He will guide you through the forest, sharing details about his lifestyle and his cabin, while informing you about the surrounding flora and fauna. During a walk, he'll show you his trapping tools. To round off the experience, you'll have the opportunity to make your own trapper.
You'll be driven back to Montréal at the end of the day.
