During your stay in New Orleans, discover the famous Oak Alley plantation, one of the most beautiful plantations in the U.S.!
Departing from the French Quarter, you will head towards the plantation in an air-conditioned bus. During the 1-hour drive you will be able to listen to the guide's commentaries about the history of the local area.
On arrival you will stand in front of the alley lined with 300-year-old oak trees. This impressive feat of landscaping extends over 787 feet / 240 meters from the banks of the Mississippi to the front of the main house! Visit the magnificent manor constructed in 1837 and learn all about its history, before your guide leads you to a reconstruction of the former slave quarters, describing to you the living conditions of those that worked the land.
After having explored the plantation you will have the opportunity to buy a snack and drinks and sit at a picnic table in the park. From this spot you can admire the cypress trees at the edge of the Mississippi while you relax and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.
