Description

Learn to dive with a team of professional experts who will take you to one of the most beautiful lagoons in the world!

After joining the team at the Koulnoué tribe, you will be taught the basics and given 45 minutes to prepare. This will allow you to master the equiptment and some of the basic underwater hand gestures used in scuba diving.

You will then leave for Ilot Hienga around 15 minutes from the dive centre and put into practice what you've learnt. An individual instructor will accompany you for a 30 minute dive where you will reach a maximum depth of 6 metres.

With this introduction, discover the rich marine biodiversity of Caledonian waters and all the diving sensations (breathing, balance, propulsion...).

  • Availability: every day (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Time: 2pm
  • Duration: 3 hours approx.
  • Departure point: Koulnoué Village, 10kms from Hienghène (approx. 4 hours 30 minutes from Nouméa)
  • Language: French and English
     
  • This activity is not appropriate for people who cannot swim or for children under 12 years of age
  • This is a beginners scuba diving trip. Therefore you do not need any certificate or prior experience to participate in this activity. 
  • An instructor will accompany you for the whole dive
  • You will be asked to provide a medical certificate of non-indication against scuba diving under a year old, failing that you will need to complete a medical questionnaire from the service provider upon arrival
  • For minors, parental permission will be required from a legal representative before the start of the activity

  • Introduction to diving including a 45 minute training session and a 30 minute dive around Ilot Hienga
  • Basic equiptment: mask, oxygen bottle, flippers, wetsuit
  • Accompanied by a qualified and experienced instructor
