Explore the Centre Pompidou and its collection of modern and contemporary art!

Located in the heart of Paris, the Centre Pompidou is renowned for its bold architecture, with its colorful structures and exposed technical elements. Inaugurated in 1977, it houses the Musée national d'Art moderne, showcasing major works from the XXᵉ and XXIᵉ centuries.

When visiting its collections (permanent and temporary, depending on option), you'll discover artistic movements such as fauvism, cubism, surrealism and abstract expressionism. Emblematic artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Dalí, Warhol and many others are represented. Works are displayed chronologically, offering a perspective on the evolution of modern and contemporary art.

  • On the first Sunday of each month, admission to the museum, the Vue de Paris and the Galerie des enfants is free for all
  • The Centre Pompidou is free for under-18s - a ticket must still be collected on site
  • There is a preferential rate for 18-25 year-olds, only available at the Centre Pompidou ticket desks. ID may be required
  • Accessibility: the Centre is accessible to people with reduced mobility; wheelchairs are available on presentation of ID
    On-site services: changing rooms, toilets and baby-changing facilities on levels 0, 4, 5 and 6
  • Your ticket gives access to the selected exhibition only
     
  • IMPORTANT: In 2025, the Centre Pompidou begins its metamorphosis. It gradually closes its spaces for in-depth renovation, and begins to deploy its works, exhibitions and entire programming throughout France, as well as internationally. Certain areas are no longer accessible!
    The permanent collection will no longer be accessible after March 11, 2025.
