Description

Enjoy a coach trip from Paris to discover Claude Monet's gardens, home and studio, followed by a traditional meal and a guided tour of the Palace of Versailles !

Located in the Eure department, Giverny is particularly famous for being home to Claude Monet's house, listed as a "historic monument".

After a coach ride of around 1h30, you'll be able to immerse yourself in the world of Claude Monet and explore his home and gardens. You'll be able to admire the different landscapes of this village, with the flower, fruit and water gardens designed by Monet. You'll also see the water lily pond (the model for his "Les Nymphéas" paintings) with its play of colors and its legendary Japanese-inspired bridge, while listening to your guide's commentary.

Afterwards, you're free to visit Monet's home, with its various rooms, the studio, the blue reading room, the dining room... You'll discover his former living and working quarters, as well as one of the world's most important collections of Japanese prints. You'll also have the opportunity to enjoy the village and a boutique-library for souvenirs.

For lunch, you'll take the road again to the "Moulin de Fourges" or its annex, "Le Bistrot du Moulin", 10 minutes from Giverny, for a revisited local cuisine.

In the afternoon, you will visit the famous Palace of Versailles, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, and learn more about the history of the castle, the different rooms, the decoration, works of art... You will be able to admire the artistic treasures and Baroque architecture of the palace, and stroll through some of its 700 rooms.

Once the official residence of the kings of France, you'll be able to explore the chateau's famous rooms, including the Galerie des Glaces, the Grands Appartements and the King's bedroom, while listening to your guide's comments and anecdotes.

You'll then have the opportunity to freely explore the castle's gardens, with their various fountains, ponds, sculptures, flowerbeds...

Don't miss this day rich in culture !
