Set off for an excursion to Margaret River, departing from Perth! Enjoy a wine tasting, try some local products and visit the most important sites in the area!
Located just under 300 kilometres south of Perth, Margaret River is now one of the country’s most important winemaking and tourist regions. Begin your day with a stop off at Busselton Jetty, which is known for being the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere. Then, go and explore the beautiful port town of Margaret River. You will then head to a winery, where you will taste some wines. After that, you can try some local products and beers at the Bootleg Brewery.
After this tasty break, you will visit the 35,000-year-old Mammoth Cave, one of many caves in the region. Then, head to Boranup Forest, a forest that is home to the biggest trees in the world, the “Sequoia sepervirens”.
Finally, before returning to Perth, you will stop off at Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, where the Indian and Antarctic Oceans meet. You will be taken back to your hotel in the evening.
