You'll start the tour in Pompeii where your guide will take you around the eastern part of the city.

While Pompeii was buried under 4 metres of ash, Herculaneum was covered by 20 metres of ash and mud. This means that although Herculaneum is smaller, it's far better preserved. You'll be able to admire this archaeological site's intact mosaics and paintings.
