Discover the excitement of via ferrata at Grands-Jardins National Park!

Discover the via ferrata circuit on the rock wall of the prestigious Swan Lake Mountain. You'll start your adventure with a 45-minute hike to the Via Ferrata starting point. Two safe and well-designed routes (beams, bridges, etc.) will take you through fascinating environments with panoramic views. You'll progress at your own pace while accompanied by a professional guide.

You'll enjoy an exclusive experience in a small group, which ensures the guide's proximity throughout the hike. Grands-Jardins National Park is one of the core areas of the Charlevoix Biosphere Reserve, a status granted by UNESCO.

Depending on the route you choose, you'll be able to reach heights of up to 650 m, with a maximum vertical drop of 83 m.

When you book, you can choose between 2 courses with different levels of difficulty: 

  • "La Traversée", beginner course accessible from 10 years old
  • "La Montée", intermediate course accessible from 14 years old

Good to know

  • Seasonal activity: mid-June to mid-October only
  • Availability: every day (except in exceptional cases)
  • Meeting place: Via Ferrata reception area, exact location will be indicated on your confirmation
  • Minimum height to take part in this activity is 1.3 m
  • Participants must weigh between 40 kg and 110 kg
  • This activity will be carried out in small groups of no more than 8 people
  • Pregnant women, people with heart problems, vertigo or fear of heights, people without a good basic physical condition cannot participate in this activity
  • We recommend that you bring water, suitable clothing, closed sports shoes, sun cream, mosquito repellent and sunglasses tied with a cord
  • You cannot participate in the activity with any of the following: jeans, belts, skirts, dresses, sandals, climbing shoes, five fingers, waist bags and jewelry
     
  • Information concerning the "La Traversée" course: 
  • Course length: 350m
  • Height gain: 53 m
  • Duration: 3h30 including 1h preparation and return
  • Children under 10 years cannot participate in this activity
     
  • Information about the "La Montée" trail: 
  • Course length: 650 m
  • Height difference: 83 m
  • Duration: 5h including 1h preparation and return
  • Children under 14 years cannot participate in this activity
