Stroll through the Vatican Gardens accompanied by an official Vatican guide!

Created in 1279, the Vatican Gardens now occupy over half of the total surface of the world’s smallest state!

During your 2-hour tour, your guide will lead you through the gardens showing you the different fountains, sculptures and works of art hidden within this oasis at the heart of the Holy See.

After your tour, you can continue to explore the Vatican thanks to your fast-track entry ticket for the museums and the Sistine Chapel.

  • Availability: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Times: 9:15am, 9:30am, 9:45am, 10am, 11am (depending on the tour language)
  • Language: English, Italian, Russian, German, French, Polish (depending on the tour time)
  • All visitors are required to present valid proof of identity
  • Your activity voucher will contain your official ticket with a bar code. You will need to present this, along with valid proof of ID, at the entrance to the Vatican Museums. Admission will be refused without these two documents
  • Once you have entered, you can spend as much time as you like exploring the museums (until closing time: 6pm)
  • If you exit the Vatican Museums, no re-admission will be possible
  • Reduced tariff available for students under 26 years old that present proof of ID along with a valid international student card
  • Visitors that have purchased reduced-tariff tickets (student/child) will be required to show proof of ID, without which the Vatican will refuse entry without a refund, and the visitor will have to purchase a full price ticket
  • Out of respect for the religious nature of the sites, participants are asked not to wear flip-flops, shorts, skirts falling above the knee, sleeveless tops, or any other inappropriate clothing
  • The Vatican reserves the right to refuse entry, without refund, to any persons that do not respect the dress code
  • Your official ticket shows a different price than the billed price as the booking fee and skip-the-line access are not included
  • The ticket for the Vatican Museums must be used on the same day as the guided tour of the gardens
  • Food and drinks are not permitted during the tour
  • No smoking during the tour
  • It is strictly forbidden to pick or collect any flowers, plants or herbs in the gardens
  • The use of ‘selfie sticks’ is not permitted

  • Your ticket is non-transferable, and can only be used for the date and time indicated on the voucher.
  • Please note that bookings are taken a maximum of 2 months in advance.
  • When you book, you will be asked to indicate the full name and gender of each participant, as well as the date, town, and country of their birth.
