Description

In the early evening, experience Ice Floating in a frozen Lapland lake and watch the Northern Lights!

Departing from your accommodation in Rovaniemi or directly from our partner's agency (depending on the option chosen), you'll head into the heart of the Lapland forest for an unforgettable experience.

Away from all visual pollution, in a cinema-like setting, you'll don a waterproof wetsuit over your clothes, then immerse yourself in a frozen, salty lake. The water temperature will be around -13°, but thanks to your wetsuit you won't feel a thing.

As the name suggests (Ice Floating), you'll float on the surface throughout the experience. This phenomenon is due to the high concentration of salt in the lake. The first few minutes of the experience are very special, but you'll soon feel relaxed and be able to start admiring the scenery around you.

Above all, you're in the perfect position to observe the Northern Lights! If you're lucky and the weather cooperates, you'll discover the natural phenomenon of the aurora borealis and its astonishing green colors, which will leave you speechless.

At the end of the experience, you'll enjoy a convivial Lappish snack with your guide, gingerbread and hot blueberry juice, a must-have drink in Lapland.

You'll be driven back to Rovaniemi after a unique Ice Floating experience.
