Visit a reindeer farm in the heart of the Lapland forest, enjoy a sleigh ride and savor a traditional snack!
In the early morning, you'll enjoy a transfer directly from our partner's agency located in the city center. After a 30-minute drive, you'll arrive at a reindeer farm.
You'll meet the reindeer herders who belong to the Sami, an indigenous people living in Lapland, Norway and Sweden. You'll discover their way of life on the farm and learn more about how reindeer farming works.
Reindeer are very gentle animals, used to living in groups. If you're comfortable enough with reindeer, you'll follow the Sami herders inside the pens, where you can approach and feed the reindeer.
You'll then climb aboard a traditional reindeer-drawn sleigh for a short ride (approx. 700 m) along a snow-covered trail. A unique and unforgettable experience on a trip to Lapland.
After your walk, you'll warm up in a Kota, a traditional hut, and enjoy a 100% Lappish snack: hot blueberry juice and Finnish cake. This is the perfect time to chat with your guide and the herders, and ask any questions you may have about life in Lapland.
You'll be driven back to Rovaniemi after this unique but unmissable experience.
