Discover the Cejar and Tebenquiche lagoons and the Ojos del Sal near San Pedro de Atacama!
Starting from your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama and accompanied by your guide, you'll set off for the Ceja and Tebenquiche lagoons in the Atacama desert, 20 kilometers from San Pedro de Atacama. Once there, you'll discover laguna Piedra and laguna Cejar, a magnificent turquoise lake. This lake lies in the middle of the Salar d'Atacama, an immense expanse of salt-rich soil. The water is also very salty, so animals can float effortlessly. You'll also enjoy superb views of the Andes and the Licancabur volcano.
You'll then visit two circular freshwater lagoons located next to each other. This peculiarity has led to them being named Ojor del Salar, the Eyes of the Salar. You can even enjoy a swim in the deep waters of these lagoons. You'll then move on to the Tebinquinche lagoon. This lagoon, only a few centimetres deep, was formed over centuries by the action of frost and wind. You'll enjoy a drink while admiring the reflection of the mountains in the lagoon, and admire the sunset, with its yellow colors and intense tones, offering a real feast for the eyes.
You'll end this beautiful day by returning to San Pedro de Atacama.
