Enjoy a hike to the summit of the Teide volcano at 3,718 meters above sea level!
A vehicle will pick you up at your accommodation. Accompanied by an official guide, on the way up to Teide, you'll discover Tenerife's diverse landscapes along the way: after the towns on the coast, the typical villages on the heights, a vast pine forest, then increasingly arid volcanic landscapes. Your guide will tell you more about the different volcanoes and the most recent eruptions on Tenerife, as well as the history of the formation of the Canary Islands.
Located right in the center of the island of Tenerife, Le Teide was declared a National Park in 1954 and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007.
Arrived at the foot of the volcano, you'll take the cable car up to an altitude of 1,999 meters. You'll then begin your ascent on foot to the volcano's peak, accompanied by your expert guide via National Park trail nº10 called "Telesforo Bravo".
After about 1 hour's walk, you'll reach the summit of Teide. At 3,718 meters above sea level, it is the highest peak in Spain. Your efforts will be rewarded by the panoramic view. If the weather is clear, you'll even be able to see the neighboring islands of La Gomera, El Hierro, La Palma and Gran Canaria.
You'll also gain access to the volcano's crater, thanks to a special permit issued by the National Park administration. On the way back, you'll take the cable car again to return to the foot of the Volcano, before your return transfer.
