This shrine is one of the most important ones in the country and became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. Take time to admire its unique traditional architecture, delicate ornamentation and dazzling colours.
After this tour, you'll be taken to the heart of Nikko National Park. After a drive along the winding Irohazaka mountain road, your next stop will be the Kegon waterfall. This 97m-high Nikko waterfall is a must-see and is considered one of the most beautiful in Japan. You'll then head to Chuzenji Lake, the highest in the country. You'll have a short break where you can admire the imposing Mont Nantai from the lake's bank.
