Explore Zanzibar's wildlife on an excursion to Mnemba Nature Reserve and Jozani Forest!
You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Matemwe, in the north-east of Zanzibar. You will board a boat and meet your guide at Mnemba Atoll. Mnemba is a private island where fishing is prohibited. Its biodiversity is therefore entirely preserved, making it an ideal place to snorkel and observe the diversity of fish and marine species. On the way, you will meet the dolphins and observe them in their natural environment. You will then don a mask and snorkel and dive to swim in the coral reefs.
We will then head for the Jozani forest. It is a reserve that was created in 1960 with the aim of protecting Tanzanian flora and fauna threatened with extinction. In 2016, this reserve was recognised as a biosphere zone by the UN. You will walk through the park with its dense and wild vegetation where many rare characteristic Zanzibar species are can be found. You will discover the monkeys, Tanzania's mascots.
You will be taken back to your hotel at the end of the tour.
